Running SocialScreen in a web browser

Full screen browser

  1. Open a browser on the computer (preferably Google Chrome, but most modern browsers should work)
  2. Go to the address https://socialscreen.app
  3. Press “F11” to go to full screen.
A code screen will appear, and you are ready to connect the screen to your account.

The following takes place on PC:

  • Log in to the system by typing https://app.socialscreen.com in your browser and log in.
  • When logged in to the system, you will have a menu on the left side with an option called Devices. Click on this. In the top right corner, click Add new device.
Enter the code displayed on your screen, give the screen a name, and remember to save device.
  • You can now create a Playlist with the desired content from the Slides option
(if you need help with this, there is a “Product presentation” video at the bottom of the Dashboard page).
  • Press Devices and select your screen. On the right-hand side, enter which playlist you want to display and save device.
  • Everything is set up and ready!

You have now connected the PC to use SocialScreen. Please note that this is only displayed as a web page, and that other things such as windows update may get in the way. It also won’t start automatically.

Secure Lockdown

One app we can recommend for Windows is Secure Lockdown Browser Edition from Inteset. It is not free, but in return gives the opportunity to lock down the entire machine to only run the info screen from SocialScreen.

Follow the instructions from Inteset and use https://socialscreen.app as the web address to load.
Also make sure to turn off all clearing of cache and local storage from the system.
