Setting up a digital signage software in a LG Public Display – WebOS 4.0+
Applies to models using a version of WebOS 4.0 or newer. Reach out to us if you’re unsure about your screen.
- Turn on the LG Public Display.
- Press the “Settings” button on the remote control.
- Go to General and connect your device to the internet.
- Under General, go to Time&Date, and make sure these settings are set correctly.
- Go to Ez Setting and check that Play via URL is turned off.
- Select SI Server Setting again. Under Ez Setting select SI Server Settings.
- Enter the following settings.

Application Launch Mode: Local
Fully Qualified Domain Name: On
URL: https://socialscreen.app/lg
Application Type: IPK
Press REMOTE to install the app.
9. Press CONFIRM.
10. Press OK and restart your screen or launch the app from the home menu.
The app will launch and might restart due to software updates. Eventually a code screen will appear, and you are ready to connect the screen to your account.
The following takes place on PC:
- Log in to the system by typing https://app.socialscreen.com in your browser and log in.
- When logged in to the system, you will have a menu on the left side with an option called Devices. Click on this. In the top right corner, click Add new device.
Enter the code displayed on your screen, give the screen a name, and remember to save device. - You can now create a Playlist with the desired content from the Slides option
(if you need help with this, there is a “Product presentation” video at the bottom of the Dashboard page). - Press Devices and select your screen. On the right-hand side, enter which playlist you want to display and save device.
- Everything is set up and ready! Feel free to turn your device off and on again, to verify that the app and the content starts playing automatically on startup.
