Setup SocialScreen on iOS, iPhone or iPad
There are various apps for iOS where you can set up kiosk mode and playback via URL. We recommend the app WebFrame Kiosk from the App Store. This app is not free.
- Download and install the app.
- Start the app, and you start the initial setup.
Enter the following settings for the app:
- Homepage URL: https://socialscreen.app
- App Launch Behaviour: Resume Last Session
- Clear Cache on Reload: Off
- Clear Cache on Launch: Off
- Allow third-party cookies: On
- Domain Limiting: Off
- Inactivity Timer: Off
- Scroll and Pan Gestures: Off
- Zoom Gestures: Off
(You can also experiment with the settings if you want different functionality.)
- Press “Save” at the top right, then press “Done” at the top left. This will start the kioskmode. A code screen will appear, and you are ready to connect the screen to your account.
The following takes place on PC:
- Log in to the system by typing https://app.socialscreen.com in your browser and log in.
- When logged in to the system, you will have a menu on the left side with an option called Devices. Click on this. In the top right corner, click Add new device.
Enter the code displayed on your screen, give the screen a name, and remember to save device. - You can now create a Playlist with the desired content from the Slides option
(if you need help with this, there is a “Product presentation” video at the bottom of the Dashboard page). - Press Devices and select your screen. On the right-hand side, enter which playlist you want to display and save device.
- Everything is set up and ready! Feel free to restart the app, to verify that the the content starts playing automatically on startup.
If you need to change anything later, you can go through the Settings app on the iOS device and find the kiosk app’s settings again.
You can find the user guide for the app here:

We plan to develop our own iOS app in the future.
Tips:
- Turn off the screensaver and auto-lock on the device.
- You can lock the device to only run this app by using Guided Access under the Accessibility settings.
